COVID-19 shut down our tourism industry resulting in farmers having an excess of produce and no easy way to reach new potential buyers. Most of the population is being cautious and trying to exercise social and physical distancing. How can we use technology to connect potential buyers with farmers?

At any given day, these facilities do not know in advance the number of patients to be treated, which often results in over-crowding, long waits by patients and in some cases, patients not being seen by a doctor. Additionally, administrative problems such as access to patient records and failure of the appointment system further exacerbate the situation. Develop a solution that will improve the hospital/health centre visits which will make it more efficient and modern.

Most Jamaicans have limited access to healthcare, particularly in rural communities. Both patients and healthcare providers often commute long distances to healthcare facilities. A shortage of doctors particularly in rural communities only allows doctors to visit community health centres on selected days.
This situation frequently results in overcrowding which negatively impacts the quality healthcare offered to patients. In recent times due to the Jasmine Dean incident, there is a renewed call for safe night transportation for members of commuting public. Kidnapping is a crime that is assisted by public transportation. Develop a solution that could aid is reducing this crime.

In Jamaica, we have a culture that does not trust the police. As a consequent residents are reluctant to giving the police vital information that could be used to reduce criminal activity. Develop a solution that could process data from these distributed IoT devices that could give the police insights on where to focus their energies.

For individuals to be able to conduct ecommerce transactions, a specific type of debit/credit card is needed (visa debit, master card, credit card etc).
